Dead fetus left at fire station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (2)

— A dead male fetus wrapped in a blouse inside a plastic grocery bag was found by firefighters outside a Dallas fire station at 8701 Greenville Avenue between 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, placed under the sign that reads "Safe Place."

This part is odd: A spokesperson for the Dallas police said that the fetus "appeared well-cared for". How does special care of a dead fetus manifest itself, exactly? Was it the blouse? Maybe an expensive designer blouse? Or was it the double-wrapping -- i.e., the combination of the blouse and the grocery bag.

I'm sure the firefighter meant that it appeared the surely-grieving, would-be mother treated the fetus with respect.

Probably a bit more respect than your posting offered.
