Is Big D Latino-friendly? Well, when it comes to having a variety of Latino cultural events and cuisine, along with the shopping, amusement and sporting venues then the answer is a resounding Sí!
After all, with Latinos making up over 35 percent of the local population and home to about 55,000 Latino-owned businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, it’s easy to see that a lot of us think so.
In fact, it’s those statistics that the folks at the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) are hoping will attract more Latino visitors and professional organizations to come and enjoy the Dallas sights.
Yet, in this age of technology, it’s easier to show people what they’re missing and so the DCVB launched a new web site today called Latino Dallas.
Showcasing the sights of Dallas that are especially relevant to Latinos, the bilingual web site is the puerta (door) to how and why Latinos live in Dallas, and why it’s the perfect destination for professional meetings and conferences.
Yet, the DCVB admits that the site is still evolving to get it to the point where browsing the site will feel like a leisurely walk through all of what Dallas has to offer — without the blisters.
